On May 23, 2023, with the approval of the school administration, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chinese Studies Ph.D. Serik Mustafa met with graduates of school-gymnasium No. 133 in Almaty.In total, about three and a half thousand students study at the gymnasium school, of which this year graduates make up six groups, of which four are Kazakh, two are Russian, the total number of graduates is more than a hundred. The meeting with alumni was held with great enthusiasm. Graduates were given clear answers to questions related to the choice of specialties necessary for them.During the meeting, brief information was provided on the general state, educational and research potential of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. They talked a lot about the Department of Chinese Studies, the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU and the qualifications of its professors, the training base. In particular, Serik Mustafa touched upon the topical issue of the recent summit in China - Xi'an, during which the general deals reached between the leaders of China and the countries of Central Asia were discussed, thereby determining the vision of graduates on the relevance of the specialty - Chinese Language.
