The opening ceremony of the "Week of Chinese Language and Culture" was held under the guidance of the teacher of the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University Duysenbay Kulpynay. The event was attended by teachers and students of the Department of Chinese Studies of KazNU. The purpose of the event is to introduce students to the peculiarities of the culture of the people of China and explain to them the importance of not only mastering the Chinese language, but also studying literature and culture.
Students reviewed some interesting facts about Chinese characters and shared new information about Chinese literature and unique musical instruments. The opening ceremony of the week was held by the head of the Department of Chinese Studies.
