March 26-27, 2020, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU named after Al-Farabi, the Republican Student Olympiad was held with a specialization in 5B020900 Oriental Studies. The goal of the Olympiad is to increase the language proficiency of students studying in the specialty “Oriental Studies”, develop creative abilities, increase their interest and activity in studies, select and support gifted students, and strengthen ties between universities.In accordance with the resolution of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 16-5 / 391 of 03/04/2020, the Olympiad was held online. The Republican Olympiad consisted of 2 rounds: the first stage was held within each educational institution. The second stage is in KazNU. At the second stage, the participants of the Olympiad made a presentation in Chinese on the topic "法拉 比 学说 - 善 的 先驱", made a video and sent all the materials to the jury members.In the second round of the Republican Student Olympics were 10 students: 6 students of Kazakh National University.
