On December 8, 2022, Ph.D Saparbayeva Nurzhan Baltazhanovna, senior lecturer of Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies made a presentation at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference (with international participation) "Foreign Languages ​​in the Dialogue of Cultures" which was held at N.P. Ogorev Mordovian State Research University (  Russia, Mordovian Republic, Saransk).

 On the 3rd of December 2022, the competition "Music is our common language" was held under the organization of the Confucius Institute at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.  Students of higher educational institutions of Almaty participated in the competition.  

On December 5, 2022, the VI regular "Chinese Calligraphy" competition was held under the organization of the Confucius Institute at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.  Students of higher educational institutions of Almaty participated in the competition.  

A scientific seminar "Ethnolinguistic features of family names in Chinese Language” was held Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese Studies, 2nd year master's student of foreign philology (oriental languages) Medelova Asem Askhatovna held a scientific seminar on "Ethnolinguistic features of family names in Chinese language" on December 6 of this year.  

On November 30, 2022, at 14:00, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese Studies, according to the "Methodological seminar" plan, Turbek Murat, a teacher of the department held a seminar on the topic "Effective ways to raise students' HSK level".

Abai is a great son of the Kazakh people, a poet, and a gifted person. Abay's moral life inspires pride in the heart of every Kazakh citizen. 

On the 2nd of December 2022, the leader of the "Silk Road" circle, Duysenbay Kulpinay lead the students of the Department of Chinese Studies took part in the event "Language region specialization: Turkish and Chinese", organized by Turan University. 

 On November 30, a scientific seminar was held at the Department of Chinese Studies.  At the seminar, first-year master's student Peng Danlin gave a report on the topic "Analysis of cognitive-stylistic differences of the Kazakh and Chinese languages."  During the seminar, she made a cognitive analysis focusing on linguistic units that express the national uniqueness, people's knowledge and mindset, and cultural identity in the Kazakh and Chinese languages.  At the end of the seminar, questions were asked and the participants showed interest.

On November 26, 2022, the senior teacher of the Department of Chinese Studies, Dr. Serikkaliyeva Azhar, Ph.D., held an open class for 4th-year students on the topic "Chinese initiative "One Belt - One Road".  

On November 22, 2022, teachers of the Department participated in the conference "5th Regular Chinese Language Teaching Open Class and International Seminar" jointly organized by the Confucius Institute at Al-Farabi KazNU and the International Kazakh-Chinese College.  conference.
