On December 8, 2022, Ph.D Saparbayeva Nurzhan Baltazhanovna, senior lecturer of Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies made a presentation at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference (with international participation) "Foreign Languages ​​in the Dialogue of Cultures" which was held at N.P. Ogorev Mordovian State Research University (  Russia, Mordovian Republic, Saransk).

The competition "Chinese Calligraphy" was held

On December 5, 2022, the VI regular "Chinese Calligraphy" competition was held under the organization of the Confucius Institute at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.  Students of higher educational institutions of Almaty participated in the competition.

A scientific seminar "Ethnolinguistic features of family names in Chinese Language” was held Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese Studies, 2nd year master's student of foreign philology (oriental languages) Medelova Asem Askhatovna held a scientific seminar on "Ethnolinguistic features of family names in Chinese language" on December 6 of this year.

A scientific seminar was held on the topic "Analysis of cognitive stylistic differences of the Kazakh and Chinese languages"

 On November 30, a scientific seminar was held at the Department of Chinese Studies.  At the seminar, first-year master's student Peng Danlin gave a report on the topic "Analysis of cognitive-stylistic differences of the Kazakh and Chinese languages."  During the seminar, she made a cognitive analysis focusing on linguistic units that express the national uniqueness, people's knowledge and mindset, and cultural identity in the Kazakh and Chinese languages.  At the end of the seminar, questions were asked and the participants showed interest.
