19.05. in the secondary school No. 43 there was an exhibition of the Shiliktinsky, Altai and Urjar archaeological expeditions. At the exhibition were exhibited field photos Espeditsii, finds found during archaeological works and for graduates the booklets of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology. Schoolchildren not only took part in the exhibition, but also received information about the specialties of the faculty.

On April 24-27, 2018, the faculty of History, archeology and ethnology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh national university together with the Atatürk research center in Almaty held an international symposium on the theme "Political, economic and cultural development of the Turkic world from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day". About 50 scientists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Tatarstan and Russia participated in the symposium.
