On November 26, 2021, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Aspects of Biodiversity Conservation" was held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, honorary member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician KazNANS Mukhitdinov Nashtay Mukhitdinovich and the 30th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan. At the opening of the conference, the vice-rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, academician Ramazanov Tlekkabul Sabitovich, who presented Academician Nashtay Mukhitdinovich with the "al-Farabi Great gold medal" for a special contribution to the development of education and science and the badge "For Valiant labor" for merits at the university, made a welcoming speech.

The international conference was attended by scientists from the cities of Budapest and Debrecen of Hungary, research institutes and leading universities of Nur-Sultan, Aktau, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Taldykorgan, as well as Almaty. 7 reports were heard at the plenary session: Gabor Sramko – Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the University of Debrecen, Debrecen, Hungary; Maria Hohn – Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, Budapest, Hungary; Sitpayeva Gulnara Tokbergenovna - Doctor of Biological Sciences, Academician KazNANS, Director General of the Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction, Almaty; Imanbayeva Akzhunus Altaevna - Candidate of Biological Sciences, Director General of Mangyshlak Experimental Botanical Garden, Aktau; Ivashchenko Anna Andreevna - candidate of Biological Sciences, Leading researcher of the Institute of Zoology, Almaty; Turuspekov Yerlan Kenesbekovich -candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology of Plants, Almaty, Ishmuratova Margarita Yulayevna - candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Karaganda University named after Academician E. A. Buketov, Karaganda. During the sectional report, scientists from Russia and Ukraine spoke. At the end of the conference, the participants who made the best presentations were awarded diplomas of I, II and III degrees and awarded prizes. All participants were awarded certificates.
