The plenary session of the conference was held in two stages. Within the framework of the first part of the plenary session, 9 reports of domestic scientists who made a huge contribution to the development of environmental biotechnology in Kazakhstan were heard. These are well-known doctors of sciences, professors Zhubanova A.A., Mansurov Z.A., Sadanov A.K., Zhambakin K.Zh., Bisenbaev A.K., Kanaev A.T., Nurzhanova A.A., Abzhalelov A B., Bigaliev A.B.

In the second part of the plenary session, 7 reports of foreign participants were represented.

The wide geography of the participants confirms the relevance of the topic of the conference and the issues considered within its framework. This Conference made it possible to summarize the results of biotechnological trends in the world on a wide range of issues united in two sections:

• Aspects, innovations and achievements of environmental biotechnology

• Innovations and advances in bioenergy

Within the framework of the conference, the following problems were discussed among the main topics: experience in the development of environmental protection and bioenergy regulation in the European and Asian regions; globalization of environmental problems in the 21^st century and the search for possible answers.
