At December 7, 2017 at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology there was held an online event on professional orientation with the participation of students of Industry and Technology College of the city of Semey. The event was opened by the head of the department of Biotechnology Aida Serikovna Kistaubayeva. In her speech she said : "If you do not know which profession to choose, I advise you to choose our scientifically-oriented university. Taking a degree in Biotechnology, you can be a technician, technoloist, engineer-technolog, specialists of biolaboratories in clinics, sanitary and epidemeological enterprise, food industry. After graduating our university, you con work in various fields of our country (KazTransOil, scientific and special laboratories, industries) ". Associate Professor Adil Erezhepovich Erezhepov, began his speech with the slogan "The youth is our future", and said: If you want to become a professional, then come to KazNU named after al-Farabi, and then shared the expressive and meaningful information. Associate professor Svetlana Kazbekovna Turasheva given the information about educational program of different departments of the faculty Biology and Biotechnology. Associate Professor of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources Saule Mukhametkalykovna Shalgimbaeva, Senior Lecturer Nurlan Baimurzaev, Lecturer Gaukhar Bakhtiyarovna Dzhumakhanova invited to study the specialty of "Fish industry" in the field of biodiversity and bioresources. Students of Industrial and Technology College of Semey listened to them and asked questions during the on-line event.
