11.02.2020 at the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources in 535 audiences, a meeting was held with the Director General of the Republican State Enterprise on the right of economic management "Central Laboratory for Biocontrol, Certification and Preclinical Testing" KN MES RK .Kudryna N.O. The laboratory is engaged in the following areas of activity: conducting research in the field of medicine, pharmacology, pharmacy, toxicology, biotechnology, physiology, biochemistry, ecology; preclinical trials of new potential drugs and biologically active substances; introduction of new technologies for the development and production of effective and safe products for the needs of medicine, veterinary medicine, agriculture and the environment; biocontrol and monitoring of environmental safety and public health in the regions of the country with preclinical studies; procurement and storage of medicinal plants, development and implementation of new medicines, herbal remedies, synthetic and mineral complexes, highly effective technologies for their production; publication of research results; the organization can conduct more than 200 types of laboratory tests using biochemical, hematological, general clinical, immunochemical methods. There is a license for medical diagnostic activities and permission from the regime commission for working with pathogens.

This year marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great son of our people, poet Abai Kunanbayev. For this joyful occasion, at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Department of Biology and Biotechnology, under the guidance of Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences Saparov Kuandyk Abenovich and with the participation of 3rd cours students, a creative evening was held on the topic "Жасымда ғылым бар деп ескермедім”. Abay Kunanbayev is immortalized in our history as a poet, composer, enlightener, thinker, public figure, founder of Kazakh written literature and its first classic, cultural reformer. His poems and words of edification reflected the culture, values, religion, spirit and the whole essence of the Kazakh people. Poetry and creativity of Abai is a rare phenomenon in the world of literature recognized by the whole world. On February 25, 2020, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biophysics and Biomedicine PhD Alibek Ydyrys conducted a tour in the center of Green Technologies of KazNU for Master Degree students of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University. During the tour held in the Smart Green House, Master Degree students got acquainted with the technologies of growing plants in greenhouse conditions.

On February 23, 2020 at 20.00 an event was held with the participation of students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology in the Conference Hall of the Dormitory No. 7 of Al-Farabi KazNU. A lecture was held on the topic: “Modern trends and methods of phytobiotechnology” within the framework of the “Aynalandyr-Nurlandyr” program.

The purpose of the event: To form students ' modern ideas about phytobiotechnology, about modern technologies, to give ideas about the broad possibilities of biotechnology in medicine, agriculture, criminology and other fields and to promote employment of future biotechnologists

An event was dedicated to modern areas of phytobiotechnology, the latest trends in the field of medical, agricultural, environmental and other areas of phytobiotechnology. Students after the main report told about their reasons for choosing a specialty, about their expectations and prospects. Students discussed the advantages of the chosen specialty.

Master Degree students of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University completed an internship on academic mobility from 02.17.2020 to 02.26.2020 at the Department of Biophysics and Biomedicine, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During this period, Master Degree students attended lectures and laboratory classes of courses such as biophysics, human and animal physiology, methods of teaching biology, and also visited the Museum of Biology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
