Excursion to the industrial trout farm LLP «MG» @ almaty_fish.kz, located in the foothills of the city of Esik. This farm grows rapidly, developing momentum and may well be a model, model farm for breeding and growing trout, since all are created here the best conditions for rearing this king’s fish, water temperature, oxygen regime, high-quality trout feed and around-the-clock sensitive care from the farm workers. And of course, successful production, our graduate Marlen is behind any successful production. 

As he always says: "Aquaculture is our future, so training must be taken with particular importance". Positive, energetic, enthusiastic, ideological, he loves all the innovations, and most importantly, Marlen devoted to his specialty is himself an ideal example for all graduates! Here I would like to thank Marlen for his direct participation, for his indifference to the rare and now trendy specialty "Fisheries" and wish him a great voyage on a big ship. This post is dedicated to the day of graduates of KazNU named after al-Farabi, which is celebrated solemnly, annually on May 25.

Nadir Mamilov-candidate of biological Sciences, associate Professor, associate Professor of the Department of biodiversity and bioresources of al-Farabi Kazakh national University.

Mamilov N. sh. is a graduate of the Kazakh state University named after S. M. Kirov in 1990. In 1996, he defended his PhD thesis at the Institute of Zoology of the KN MES RK. He started working at al-Farabi KazNU in 1990 as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Zoology and ichthyology.

He started teaching in 1995, first as an assistant, and now as an associate Professor. All his work is connected with the al-Farabi KazNU. In 2017, he received the title of associate Professor (associate Professor) in the field of biology.

Mamilov N. sh. actively participates in research work: in the period from 1990 to 1999. he was a project executor under the supervision of prof. V. Mitrofanov, from 2003 to 2017. he led the execution of research projects, currently he is the executor of 2 research projects. The results of scientific research have been published in more than 100 scientific papers, including articles in journals included in the Scopus database and Web of Science, sections in 3 monographs, according to the Scopus database has an h-index – 2.

Associate Professor Mamilov N. sh. actively participates in training, under his leadership defended 3candidates of biological Sciences. Public work: member of the Kazakhstan Committee of the UNESCO program "Man and the biosphere" (MAB), member of the international Union for conservation of nature (IUCN) working group on the conservation of fish diversity in Central Asia. Awarded the title of "Best University teacher" (2019).

At the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, a first-year doctoral student of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources Jumakhanova G.B. held an educational event on the theme "Poems of Abai", dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great poet, composer, philosopher, politician, enlightener Abay Kunanbaev. The event was held in the form of a relay race on the Internet.

The choice of the theme of the training event is determined by the need to familiarize students with the life of the Kazakh poet, philosopher, composer, teacher, thinker, public figure, founder of Kazakh written literature and its first classical, cultural reformer in the spirit of an educational approach to Russian and European culture. 

The event was attended by 2nd year students in the specialty Biology of BB 18-05, BB 18-06 and a curator-adviser. In addition to doctoral students, 1st year students also took an active part. The event featured a biography of Abay Kunanbaev and poems such as “Жаз”, “Лето”, “Summer”, “Eight Feet”, “Different people don’t believe that they will lift you up,” “I don’t write songs for fun,” “ Until you know - keep quiet ”,“ You grew up trying to reach a bright sky ”,“ Guys played cheaply, laughter expensively ”- read poetry of Abay Kunanbaev.

The theme of our group “Spring will come and the flowers bloom themselves” is directly related to the fact that in the process of teaching practice the most educated and kind-hearted Kazakh girls gathered in our group. This proverb helped us to reveal the essence of our open lesson and we devote this lesson to the onset of the most beautiful and brightest holiday brought in - the day of March 8! The purpose of the event is to nurture the spiritual and moral qualities of students, respectful attitude to women and girls. Activization of forms of cultural leisure for students and the formation of friendship and mutual assistance in the team of the study group. Mother's love is the purest and most true love that exists in this world. Love is manifested in the care, affection of the mother for her child. This is love that requires virtually no bestowal. Mom will not find herself another child if her own does not love her. Although not loving mom is very difficult. This happens only in rare cases. Mom, even in the most terrible quarrel, will worry about her child. It is important for a woman to experience such feelings at least once. Mother's love has no boundaries and it is very difficult to describe in words. For teaching practice, we specially prepared the 15th cabinet of botany, decorated with balloons and various posters. According to the script, poems were read, songs were sung and wishes expressed. Students helped out gifts that they prepared for each other. There were 3-year students and 1-year undergraduates at the open lesson. And also a short film "The Road to Mother" from the famous domestic director Akan Satayev was shown. The plot of "The Road to Mother" was based on the story of the power of maternal love, which helped the hero of the film cope with the trials of fate. The main character of the picture demonstrates incredible fortitude, courage, patriotism and unprecedented dedication. Even before the fear of death, the hero of the film does not lose hope of reuniting with his own person - his mother.

April 28, 2020 at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an open meeting was chaired by the head of the department Zh.K.Zhunusbaeva. The meeting was held on the Microsoft teams platform. The meeting was attended by all curators-advisers of the department and students of 1,2,3,4 courses and undergraduates of Russian-speaking and Kazakh-speaking educational groups, specialties "Genetics", "Biology", "Biotechnology", more than 200 people. The meeting discussed the passage of the summer session using distance learning technologies.

At the meeting, it was informed to students that all exams of this year’s summer session will be conducted in accordance with the academic calendar, despite the introduction of mass quarantine measures in connection with the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), which shocked the whole world. The participants were acquainted with the schedule of final exams, which reflected that final control exams for students and graduate students will be held from May 11 to 24, for senior bachelor courses from June 25 to 14, final certification and defense of diploma projects from July 8 to 12.

Nazerke Bizhanova, a tutor in zoology and a PhD-student at the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, in March 2020, conducted an educational event via Zoom with first-year students of the educational program "6B05102-Biology".

The theme of the educational event was devoted to measures taken during the pandemic of the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

The aim of the event was to form the concept of proper hygiene among students for protection against infectious diseases, the correct and efficient use of time during quarantine.

In the first part of the educational hour, Nazerke Bizhanova spoke about the basic precautions for protection against a new coronavirus infection:

• ·       Washing hands regularly;
• ·       Staying away from crowded places;
• ·       Following the rules of respiratory hygiene;
• ·       In case of fever, coughing and difficulty breathing, seeking medical help as soon as possible – and under no circumstances feeling afraid or embarrassed for this;
• ·      

Further, she showed what hygiene products they need to have with you and at home, and how to wear and remove masks, told them in which cases they should and should not wear masks etc.

In conclusion, a discussion was held on how to properly use your time during quarantine, issues of self-development, time management, motivation, as well as current environmental problems and how to solve them.

The event, in which 12 people participated, was exceedingly fruitful.

In connection with emergencies in the country, almost all educational and scientific institutions have introduced distance learning methods. In particular, the issues of organization and Assembly of the Department, admission and passing of students ' exams, the procedure for completing diploma and master's works, as well as all issues related to the entire educational complex were considered.

The leading members of the Department and young teachers quickly and with special interest studied the platforms Skype, Microsoft Teams,  Youtube streaming, Zoom online and offline, and effectively get access to their classes.These platforms are pleased with the breadth and accessibility of the education system, which uses the best traditional and innovative methods and facilities based on computer and telecommunications technologies in the educational process.

     During this difficult period in our country and in the education system, the support and trust of all the country's voters from the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov is increasingly raising the status of a teacher.
