From November 21 to November 23, 2019 there was held the interdepartmental boxing championship among students of al-Farabi Kazakh National University dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Abilkhanov Islam, 1st year student of Mechanics Department, Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty, won the 1st place in the weight class up to 80 kg in this championship.

On November 12, 2019, an education fair was held at the NSPHM, where representatives of different universities campaigned and attracted high school students to enter their universities.    The annual traditional competition of amateur performances «1st Year Talents» was held at the U.A. Zholdasbekov Students’ Palace. More than 3,000 thousand applications from first-year students have been submitted for participation in the competition.

  November 2, 2019 at 19.00 in the House of Students No. 6 held an open lecture about the new specialty "Robotic systems" as part of the event "Days of the Department of Mechanics in the hostel."

  Team startup company FLYUP Group Department of Mechanics, Mechanics and Mathematics Department, KazNU Al-Farabi took second place in the competition of business ideas among students.
