Poems by Y. Emre in Kazakh language

On April 6, 2018, at the TURKSOY Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University, within the framework of the projects "Ruhani Zhangyru" and "Ainalandy Nurlandir", there had been meeting with the poet and translator Dauletbek Baitursynuly, who contributed greatly to the creation of the translation of Yunus Emre's works into the Kazakh language. Also some guests were invited: Director of Farabi Eurasian Research Center of the Istanbul University prof. Abdullah Kyzylzhyk, professor of the Yeditepe University Arif Adzhalogly, professors and students of al-Farabi University. The participants of the evening enjoyed the works of the outstanding Turkic poet, Sufist Yunus Emre in Kazakh and Turkish languages, and also get acquainted with his life and works. The poet Dauletbek Baitursynuly told the listeners about Sufism, the immense love of Yunus Emre to the God and the pleasant and difficult aspects of the translation process. The translation work have been made by poet in collaboration with the Kazakh ambassador in Turkey and translator Malik Otarbayev. We express our gratitude to the Ambassador of  Kazakhstan in Turkey Malik Otarbayev, who made a great contribution to strengthening the literary relations between the two countries, giving the opportunity to publish this work and introducing the works of Yunus Emre to Kazakh people, as well as to Dauletbek Baitursynuly for the literary translation of the works, to the editor of the book and writer Kadirbek Kunypiyauly, to the poet and religious scholar Yerzat Tulesh, to our colleagues and students from the TURKSOY department, as well as all to all participants of this event.
