Winter school with the participation of domestic and foreign students

The winter school is organized by the Turks Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU together with Istanbul University, Türkiye for students, undergraduates and doctoral students studying at the "Scientific Research Institute of Turkology" from January 10 to 24, 2023 on the topic "30 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey" online.

     The purpose of the winter school is to inform the students of the two countries about the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey over the past 20 years, achievements in the field of science and education, about our common history, language, worldview. This event is a continuation of the joint research work of Kazakhstan and Turkey in the field of education and science. The winter school will be attended by 35 foreign students, undergraduates and doctoral students. Lectures are held in Kazakh and Turkish by teachers of the above universities on the following topics: "Correspondence during the Kazakh Khanate and the Ottoman State", "Turkey's foreign policy towards Central Asia after the collapse of the USSR", "Relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey within the Turkic world", "Kazakhstan-Turkish trade and economic relations", "Turkey's relations with the Kazakh press and media" and other relevant topics. At the end of the course, students and teachers will receive a certificate.
