Meeting with the education attaché

 February 2, 2021 The education attaché at the Consulate General of Turkey in Almaty Mr. Mahmud Agyrman donated scientific works and works on the Turkish language and literature, history and culture of Turkey to the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, to the Turksoy department.

Gift of TURKSOY International Organization 

February 3, 2021 at the Faculty of Oriental Studies continued the ceremony of awarding incentive scholarships to TURKSOY students.   Head of the Department of Administrative, Financial and Legal Issues of TURKSOY and Representative of TURKSOY in Kazakhstan Sanjar Mulazimoglu .

Askar Turganbayev donated literary works of the Turkic peoples published by an international organization to the library fund of the department.

Akhmet Yasavi International Kazakh-Turkish University - guest of the Faculty of Oriental Studies 

On February 4, 2021, the representative of the rector of the Akhmet Yasavi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Mr. Cengiz Tomar, visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

The guest of honor was greeted by Vice-Rector for Commercialization Mehmet Arslan and Faculty Dean Ihtiyar Paltore. Cooperation between the two universities was further developed.

Meeting with the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagun

On 04.12.2020, the first online meeting was held between the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Turksoy and the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagun, the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology, the Department of Turkology and translation studies in the direction of further joint work in the field of education. During the meeting, future plans related to the implementation of joint educational programs and scientific work between the faculties of the two universities were discussed. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the faculty of Kyrgyz Philology of the Kyrgyz national University named after Zhusup Balasagun                    B.A.Zhailoobayev, head of the Department of Turkology and translation studies of the faculty of Kyrgyz Philology B.Elebesova, Dean of the faculty of Oriental Studies Y.M.Paltore, Deputy Dean of the faculty of Oriental Studies for research and innovation and international relations K.T.Gabdullin and head of the Department of Tukrsoy U.T.Kydyrbayeva. In addition, the participants spoke about the achievements of the universities at present and the upcoming achievements, and also expressed their interest in developing the unity and cooperation of the Turkic countries.
