Excursion to Kok-Zhailau

A great time has come to the southern capital of Kazakhstan.  Meeting with prospective university students

 On June 7, 2021, on the ZOOM platform, the Faculty of Philology organized an online meeting with the prospective university students. The meeting began with words of welcome and gratitude said by Dzholdasbekova Bayan Umirbekovna, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor. After the welcoming part Bayan Umirbekovna, the dean of the faculty, made a presentation. She spoke about the mission, the history and the structure of the Faculty of Philology. She also mentioned about existing educational programs, partner universities, dual programs for bachelor, master and PhD students. In her speech, she noted that a new specialty: "Turkology" appeared   at the faculty. Professor Dzholdasbekov B.U. emphasized that students from the USA come to the Faculty of Philology to study Kazakh and Russian languages ​​annually within the framework of USA-joint “Flagman” program. Then the faculty achievements for recent years were shown on the slides.

     After the dean's speech, the meeting participants began to actively ask questions to the dean and the heads of departments. The questions mainly concerned the rules for admission to bachelor's, doctoral and master's degree programs, minimum scores. At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty Bayan Umirbekovna thanked all guests and graduates of secondary schools who joined the meeting  and said that the doors of the Faculty of Philology are always open for them.
