On April 7, 2021 from 10.00 to 13.00 the work of the section "LINGUISTICS" of the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "FARABI ALEMI" was held at a high level. Most of the participants in this section are students and undergraduates of various specialties of the philological faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the work of the section, young scientists made reports on all areas of linguistics and discussed topical issues of linguistics in modern society. For example, the report of a 1st year master's student in the specialty "Foreign language: two foreign languages" of the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages ​​A. Nabieva "The process of learning English by adults in а trilingual situation in Kazаkhstаn" is devoted to the study of issues of language policy and the language situation in Kazakhstan using statistics. In general, all the reports on various issues of linguistics were actively discussed by the participants. This testifies to the great enthusiasm of students and young scientists for science.

Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bayan Umirbekovna Dzholdasbekova was awarded the gold medal "Birlik" for her contribution to the development of intercultural dialogue, civil peace and harmony, rapprochement and mutual enrichment of national cultures and friendly relations between states, strengthening the authority of Kazakhstan in the world community. The order on awarding was signed by the Leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Medal of "Unity of the People of Kazakhstan" ("Birlik") is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the highest sign of public recognition and encouragement of Kazakhstani and foreign citizens, organizations and enterprises, civil society institutions for their merits in strengthening unity and stability.

In honor of the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great son of our people, poet, philosopher, scientist Abai Kunanbayev, who became the common pride of the Kazakh people, the 3rd year students of the specialty " foreign language: two foreign languages» held an open lesson at a high level! This is a great pride for our country and for all Kazakhstanis. Abai's name should become the brand of the new Kazakhstan, so his works should be widely promoted outside of our country.

In the modern world, languages are essential for development, education, and communication, and they serve not only to ensure the identity of a person, but also provide for intercultural dialogue, promote cooperation, create and preserve cultural heritage. Every year since 2000, the International Mother Language Day, proclaimed by UNESCO, has been celebrated to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
On February 20, 2021, the online platform of the center "Russian Language and Culture" of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the event "The language of the people-the color of all its spiritual life". The event was attended by representatives of Kazakhstan, Russia, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
Olga Mosheeva, Chief Specialist of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty, addressed the participants and guests of the event, emphasizing the importance of the event, its unifying and creative nature.
Each of the participants of the meeting tried to show all the beauty, singability and richness of their language, songs and poems were performed in Kazakh, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Dungan and Uzbek.
The participants were welcomed by the Deputy head of the Russian center of Namangan Aziz Mirzagasanov, presenting the Uzbek language, the head of "the Club Pushkin" from Ust-Kamenogorsk Zara Chitanava and teacher of the Caspian University of technologies and engineering Aibek Arslanbek from Aktau submitting the Kazakh language, Professor at the Catholic University Peter Pazmany Kuralay Bukharbaeva, who spoke about the Hungarian language.
Associate Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zayra Mukanova noted that multilingual and multicultural societies exist thanks to their languages, which transmit and preserve traditional knowledge and cultures on a sustainable basis, and in the era of globalization, languages serve as a unifying factor for peaceful coexistence.
The head of the Russian Language and Culture Center, Zhanna Umatova, traditionally said the final word, noting in the words of Mikhail Sholokhov that " The greatest wealth of the people is their language."

     With the director of the Almaty Innovation College Burkitbaeva F. V. and the head of the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages Madiyeva Gulmira Bayanzhanovna, the work was carried out.          Students of the 4th year of Philology and world languages of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have completed a teaching internship at the Almaty Innovation College. The teaching practice was held in a remote format, meeting all modern requirements. In the course of teaching practice, we were convinced of which programs are more effective to use for conducting classes remotely.  "Kundelik.kz", "Mektep.kz "we have gained experience with the programs and platforms” Google-meeting"and " Zoom".  We observed the whole pedagogical process, got acquainted with the methods and techniques of teaching the language used by the teacher. We observed ways to arouse interest in the lesson, using methods that increase the motivation of students. Gandhi lyceum of general specialized school  № 92, works with the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages. 3rd year students of the specialty "Foreign language: two foreign languages" pass pedagogical practice in this school-lyceum remotely. A relationship has been established with the staff of the M. Gandhi specialized school-lyceum № 92, classes are held on the Microsoft Teams platform. For each student was opened a personal account and they always communicate with the supervisor. The school administration conducted special explanatory courses for students in the updated direction of education.
