“People ! Citizens of the whole Universe ! Heat up your life!”

The teachers and the PhD students of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a flash mob on the occasion of O Suleimenov’s 85^th anniversary, Kazakhstani poet, linguist, public and political figure. The teachers together with the PhD students made the video in which they recited the passages of the famous poem: “The Earth bow to the Man” written by O. Suliemenov. The poem is devoted to Yu. Gagarin’s flight to space.

On May 18, 2021, from 17.00 to 17.40, in honor of the 85th anniversary of the poet O. Suleimenov, a scientific and educational curatorial hour on the theme "Земля, поклонись человеку! / Earth, obey to man!" was held at the Philological Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the adviser A. K. Tausogarova and with the participation of 2^nd year Master students of the specialty “Foreign language: two foreign languages”. This curatorial hour was held at a high level. Information about the history of the poem "Земля, поклонись человеку! / Earth, obey to man!”, related to an important event on the path of space exploration of the USSR, was presented by master's student N. Mechetbaeva. As well as undergraduates A. Kenesbaeva, Zh. Rysmakhan reflected on the values of the poem as the art of the word, on the levels of its translations into the world language. During the curatorial hour, it was noted with pride that in 1961 O. Suleimenov's poem “Земля, поклонись человеку! / Earth, obey to Man!” was highly appreciated by critics of poetry and the peoples of the world. Undergraduates admired the fact that the poem was born on the Kazakh land, and its author is the great son of our people.

On the eve of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the Kazakh poet Olzhas Suleimenov on 17.05.2021 at 17.00 at the Faculty of Philology of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an event called "Olzhas Suleimenov: Biography, Lyrics" was held with the participation of students of the Faculty of Philology. The event was organized by the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages. Responsible for the event were: Zhambylkyzy M. and Kartabayeva A.

The purpose of this event was to promote patriotism and love for the Motherland, the creative heritage of the great poet, increase interest in the culture, language and literature of the Kazakh people. Presentations were made by 1st-year master's degree students of the Faculty of Philology Akylzhanova Sh., Karbozova M., Dzhaydakpaeva S., who introduced the creative and socio-political activities of the poet.

As part of the video conference, the poet's poems were read by the students. Bachelor's degree students of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Philology conducted a quiz in which they were invited to show their knowledge and answer questions about the life and work of Olzhas Suleimenov.

The event was concluded with a discussion of the importance of Olzhas Suleimenov's contribution to the development of Kazakhstan and a speech of gratitude from the curators of the groups – Zhambylkyzy M. and Kartabayeva A. to the audience.

This year, Kazakhstanis celebrate the 30th anniversary of Independence. After gaining Independence, new pages began in the history of the young country as an authoritative member of the world community. Independence - there is no greater value for the Kazakh people with a rich history and deep roots, we consider it the most precious treasure, therefore we feel the value of the Independence that our ancestors dreamed of. Independence is our main value and the most precious one! Our task is to pass on an ideal and strong Kazakhstan to the next generation! -said Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.

In order to raise the patriotic feelings of the younger generation, 1st year students of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence began the challenge #Independence30years , which in turn was sent to students of the International University of Astana, West Kazakhstan University named after Makhanbet Utemisov, Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov.

On November 27, 2020, within the framework of international cooperation, an online social and educational event " Ұлы даланың Ұлы баласы ", dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the scientist-encyclopedist Abu Nasr al-Farabi, was held. The event was organized by the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and the Faculty of Literature of Istanbul University.

This year, the entire progressive world community celebrates the 1150th anniversary of the medieval thinker of the East Al-Farabi. On the eve of such an anniversary, we had solidarity, we organized an educational event for the second teacher in the world.

The main goal of the event was to unite representatives of the young generation from different countries to express respect and respect for the spiritual heritage of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, a great thinker of the Middle Ages, an encyclopedist and philosopher who made an invaluable contribution to the development of world science and civilization. The set goal was achieved through the approved tasks.

People who expressed their wishes at an educational evening dedicated to Abu Nasir al-Faribi, who left behind a rich spiritual heritage: Professor of Istanbul University Sapashev Oraz, Deputy Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Russian Academy of Sciences for International Affairs Natalia Bezrukova, Head of the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages Madiyeva Gulmira. The organized educational event was held at a very high level. All students, guests and organizers present took an active part.
