On September 30, 2022, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literary of Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University awarded the winners of the Republican Literary Competition, organized among medical professionals. The competition was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding public figure, scientist, teacher Akhmet Baitursynuly.

The competition was announced on June 30, 2022.

The award ceremony took place in Al-Farabi Scientific Library within the framework of the Forum "National Literary Language of Kazakhs", organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

68 works were submitted to the Republican literary contest in four nominations: "One day in the life of a medical worker", "The World of Akhmet Baitursynuly", "The best poetic work", "The best publicistic work (essay, article)". The jury consisted of leading scientists of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – Higher Doctorate of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Temirbolat A.B., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Acting Professor Sarbasov B.S., Candidate of Philological Sciences Daribayev S.D., Candidate of Philological Sciences Mekebayeva L.A., Master of Philology Shortanbay Sh.A., Master of Philology Ospanova G.T. A specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan was invited as an observer and expert Myrzykbaeva A.B.

The competition was attended by medical workers and employees of Kazakh language classrooms operating in hospitals and medical institutions.

The winners of the Republican literary contest were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts prepared by the staff of the Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature's Department of KazNU.

As part of the awarding ceremony of the winners of the Republican Literary Competition and the scientific forum, an excursion to the University’s museums and an exhibition of the works of Akhmet Baitursynuly were organized.
