Al-Farabi Kazakh National University successfully implements the project «100 books», aimed at the formation of important moral and spiritual landmarks for students, introducing them to literature and reading. During its implementation, the university has developed good traditions of conducting creative meetings with famous writers and poets.

The Department of Kazakh Literature and Literature Theory of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages of KazNU, in the framework of the «100 books» project, conduct an online meeting with the laureate of the independent «Tarlan» Prize, the «Daryn» Youth Prize, writer, philosopher and screenwriter Didar Amantay.

The online event on the topic «Modernism in world and Kazakh literature» will be attended by teachers, students of bachelor degree, students of master degree and doctoral students of KazNU. During online communication, new trends in world and Kazakh literature, the main directions of modernism and the development of students' interest in reading will be discussed.

The Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature’s Department of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages of KazNU, in the framework of the “100 Books” project, conducts an online conversation with writers on the theme “Writer’s Face”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous writer, honored worker of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order “Parasat”, laureate international literary prize “Alash” Adam Mekebaev.

The famous writer, Honored worker of Kazakhstan Maral Yskakbai; poet, Deputy Chairman Of the Board of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Zhakyp; poet, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Zhuldyz”, Honored worker of Kazakhstan Galym Zhaylybay; famous writer, journalist, Winner of the «Tarlan-Umit» award, Winner of the President's award in the field of mass media Zhusipbek Khorgasbek; writer, honored worker of Kazakhstan, laureate international literary prize “Alash” Akhat Zhaksybaev; poet, statesman and public figure Sansyzbay Kuttybaev; literary scholar, Higher Doctorate of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Temirkhan Tebegenov; wife of Adam Mekebaev Guljamila Escobek will take part in the online meeting.

The event will be attended by teachers, students, undergraduates and doctoral students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, scientists and researchers of M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art.

During the online conversation, new and interesting facts from the life and work of Adam Mekebaev, the significance of his literary and creative heritage, stories and novels, his contribution to the development of Kazakh literature and culture will be discussed.

The online event on the topic «International Literary Communication and Cultural Diplomacy» will be attended by employees of the Institute, teachers, students of bachelor degree, students of master degree and doctoral students of KazNU. During the online communication, issues of the development of world and Kazakh literature in the modern cultural space, as well as the problems of creative integration and instilling students with an interest in reading will be discussed.
