The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosts the International Farabi Forum "Philosophy of Language and the Language of Philosophy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi", dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Center.

 The International Farabi Forum is a significant event that promotes the study and dissemination of the heritage of the great thinker of mankind, al-Farabi. Its main goal is to comprehend the spiritual, historical and philosophical foundation of the prosperity of modern society through the rich heritage of al-Farabi.

The event was opened by Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev: "Today's International Forum requires a modern analysis and in-depth study of the phenomenon of al–Farabi. We have a great task ahead of us. We must pass on to the younger generation the works of the great thinker."

Also speaking at the forum, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Muhsin Fagani, noted that Farabi was one of the geniuses of his time, who had a profound and significant influence on the thinking of scientists who followed him, and served as the basis for the prosperity of Islamic civilization. Therefore, many call him the greatest Muslim scholar and the founder of Islamic philosophy.

The opening ceremony of the forum was also attended by: Rector of Nur-Mubarak University of Islamic Culture of Egypt, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Almaty Abror Fathullayev.

The participants of the event were congratulated by: Chaudhary Muhammad Iqbal, General Coordinator of the Committee of Science and Technological Operations of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (COMSTECH), Co-Chairs of the Philosophical Society of Turkic Peoples: Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Tursin Gabitov and Professor, Head of the Department of Turkish Public Education of the University of Hacettepe Ozkul Cobanoglu, etc.

The forum is attended by representatives of the Ministries of Science and Higher Education, Information and Social Development, Culture and Sports, Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign consulates in Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi centers abroad, members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diplomats, young scientists from Turkey, the Netherlands, Russia, Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the forum, discussion platforms will be held: "The Legacy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi and the Development of psychological Science in the World", "The Language of Education of Al-Farabi: Personality in the context of Intercultural Communication and National Existence", etc.
