On 18th.October.2023,The teachers of the Department of Chinese Studies and Professor of the Chinese Studies Department, Doctor of History Aldabek Nurjamal Abdirazakvyna, along with a number of her students, met with Ms. Jiang Wei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty.   Ms. Jiang Wei warmly welcomed the guests and the meeting was held at a high level of exchange of opinions.The meeting began with an official meeting of Professor Aldabek Nurjamal Abdirazakvyna with Consul General Mrs. Jiang Wei. After mutual respect, the professor mentioned that today's meeting coincided with the official visit of our president KK Tokayev to the PRC and the visit of the rector of the university to Beijing University of Languages ​​and Culture.The main place which the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after Al-Farabi is the only center in Kazakhstan that trains Chinese scholars. Not only the Chinese language, but also history, culture, literature, foreign policy, economy, and social thinking are all taught there. There are also mentioned some problems that there are still unresolved issues in the development of education and science, and they should be considered within the framework of the "Association of Chinese Scientists", which was legally established in 2016.Chairman of "Association of Chinese Studies" D.B. Daven took the reins of the general association only in May of this year, the former chairman, professor N. Mukamethanuly said that he took it into his hands at the suggestion of many associations being established in the country, since most of the members are university lecturers in Almaty, and accordingly, the issues raised by them should be supported in solving important problems in the field of education, raising its quality, training qualified translators, lack of textbooks, etc. .At the end of the speech, Professor Aldabek N.A.  invited Ms. Jiang Wei ,the consul general, to participate in the defense of the doctoral thesis of MB Asyl, a doctoral student of her student Dawen Dinara, which will be held on  10th, November, 2023.At the end of the meeting, the professor first thanked the Consul General for his warm welcome and respect, while Ms. Jiang Wei expressed her gratitude for the close acquaintance and wished for further cooperation.
