Chinese event was celebrated among the 2nd and 3rd year students under the initiative of the advisers of the Department of Chinese Studies, Katbaeva Gulmira and Bisenbaeva Asel. This holiday is also called "Moon holiday". The Chinese believe that this day is the best day to see the moon. It began to be celebrated at the end of the 10th century, during the Song Dynasty. Students of the Department of Chinese Studies prepared a presentation on the "Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节)" holiday and explained the main features of the holiday. The Chinese students completed the presentation and tasted the special dish of this "Mid-Autumn Festival" Mooncakes (月饼) to the students. At the end of the event, all participants thanked each other and took a photo.
