On April 19 - 21, 2023, the Republican Disciplinary Olympics on the specialty "6B02207- Oriental Studies" was held on the basis of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU. Students of the 2nd-3rd-4th year of the L. N. Gumilea Eurasian University, Abylai khan KazUIR&WL and ATU, and Al-Farabi KazNU participated in the competition.  A total of 24 students are registered for the Chinese language.  8 people went to the second round of the competition.  In the second stage of the competition, the participants defended their projects on the topic "Eastern Culture: Cultural Significance of Chinese Historical Heritage".  As a result of the competitive competition, the 1st place was won by Turdan Olzhas, a 4th-year student of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies,KazNU.  The second place was awarded to Imantaeva Gulzhainar, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Chinese Studies,KazNU, and Zhakin Gulnaz, a 3rd-year student of ENU.  2nd year student of KazNU Mahashev Alikhan, 2nd year student of KazUIR&WL Zhabinskaya Sofya and 3rd year student of ENU Dalabaeva Erke took the 3rd place.  Prize-winners were awarded books and cash prizes assigned by sponsors.  One thing to note is that this year's olympic was sponsored by the "Eastern Literature" publishing house and the "Chance" bookstore, and the 2003 graduate of our faculty, now the chairman of the Kazakhstan tanners' association, the director of "KazLiterMech" LLP Nurman Battalgazyuly.
