On April 14, 2023, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the international scientific and practical conference "Regional and global significance of the development of relations between China and Kazakhstan " organized by the Department of Chinese Studies on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Modern China Studying Center was held.  The goal of the conference was to conduct a study of the regional and global significance of the achievements and issues raised in the course of mutual relations between the two countries, considering the development process of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China.  In addition to domestic Chinese scholars, a number of foreign scholars showed great interest in the work of the conference.  At the opening ceremony of the conference, the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Ph.D., Associate Professor Em N.B. highly appreciated the work of the center for 10 years and emphasized its contribution to the study of important international issues, training of scientific personnel, development of educational, scientific and cultural relations between the two countries.  Director of Modern China Studying Center, Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies N.  Mukamethanuly introduced the participants of the conference with the progress of the work that has been carried out for 10 years, the achieved achievements, and also pointed out a number of problems that prevent further optimization of the work of the Center and achieving good results.  Well-known scientists participating in the conference also expressed valuable thoughts regarding the international situation and the development of mutual relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China.  The overall goal of the conference was fully fulfilled and it successfully completed its work.
