On March 9, 2023, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Chinese Studies, and the Confucius Institute at KazNU jointly held a round table meeting with the delegation of the All-China People's Association for Peace and Disarmament within the framework of activities dedicated to the goals of sustainable development. The All-China People's Association for Peace and Disarmament is a very large non-governmental organization in the PRC.  It unites 25 social organizations, which are the largest in China.  This organization establishes contacts and cooperates with more than 300 organizations and research centers of 90 countries of the world. The geopolitical situation nowadays around the world worries all mankind.  Global and regional conflicts and disagreements pose a great threat to the established order in the international arena.  All of these things put strain on relations between states and hinder sustainable development.  The All-China National Association for Peace and Disarmament is an organization that has been actively working in this direction and has accumulated rich experience.  During the meeting with the future specialists of Chinese studies, which will guarantee the sustainable development of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, the representatives of the association made a wide presentation about their work.  She expressed her intention to cooperate with the Kazakh National University in the future and said that there are plans to hold joint events of various levels.  At the meeting, teachers and students asked questions related to global, regional and security issues between the two countries.  Association representatives answered all questions comprehensively and thoroughly.
