Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Oriental Studies, under the leadership of Duysenbay Kulpynai, teacher of the Chinese Studies Department, 3rd year students visited the S. Begalin city central children's library in Almaty. Its purpose is to introduce children to Chinese culture, including expanding their knowledge about the cultural event "Chun Jie - Spring Festival" in cooperation with the mentioned bookstore. Students first introduced the Chinese New Year and told the legend about its origin. During the event, children not only learned about the Chinese New Year, but also learned to decorate with some Chinese words and New Year patterns. It was a fun and educational activity that increased the children's interest.
