May 30 at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Faculty of Oriental Studies celebrated Alumni Day. This year’s event is unique because it was held online because of the negative situation in the country. Despite these reasons, Alumni Day was celebrated with special preparation and high spirits.
Graduates of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, who are currently working in different parts of the country and abroad, took an active part in this event and shared their sincere wishes and memories. The event began with a welcoming speech by the rector of Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi G.M. Mutanov, Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Alumni Association of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi K.A. Mami, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Paltera Yktiyar Moldoretuly. Next was the speech of the literature researcher, doctor of philological sciences Derbisali Absattar Bagysbaevich, professor of the faculty of oriental studies, doctor of historical sciences Aldabek Nurzhamal Abdrazakovna and many other teachers and graduates.
