- Another international "Battle of Journalism Faculties" has come to an end, which has gathered journalist students from several CIS countries in Kaliningrad.
- In 2020-2021, ANO "Commonwealth of New Media Teachers" with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund of the Russian Federation, in partnership with the Baltic Federal University, Voronezh State University, Perm National Research University held the III innovative competition of journalism faculties of the EAEU countries "Battle of Journalism Faculties 2020" under the motto " The media brotherhood of the great and mighty”.
- In 2020-2021, more than 30 universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus took part in the competition. According to the results of the correspondence stage of the competition, the team of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University entered the five best universities of the EAEU and won the right to participate in the final of the competition, which was held from April 19 to 23 in Kaliningrad at the Baltic Federal University. By the way, we got to the birthday of the university, which recently turned 75 years old.
- Difficult tasks, interesting quests, a business trip to another city, searching for the right speakers, filming and editing videos, writing texts in 24 online mode - the team of KazNU journalism students coped with all this! It is in such competitions that special qualities are revealed that are so necessary for journalists. The team of the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU - captain Maria Matrunina, Asel Aukesheva, Dilyara Yakhyarova and Anastasia Kshnyakina - showed all their skills.
