One of them is the 100th anniversary of our country, the main newspaper Egemen Kazakhstan. One of the newspaper’s young journalists, Nazerke Zhumabay, arrived at the faculty of journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, talked to future journalists and shared her impressions.

On the initiative of the Kazakh National University and UNESCO in Kazakhstan, the 7th International Winter School of Journalism and Communication dedicated to World Radio Day and the celebration of the anniversary of the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi was held on February 13-15, 2020. 

Recently, at the Faculty of Journalism, within the framework of the discipline “Creative workshop of a publicist”, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Rimma Zhaksilikbayeva together with the 3rd year students held the master class entitled "Connoisseurs of Kazakh journalism". During the lecture, students of 4 groups showed their performances on the work of individual publicists, and also showed publicist writings and editorial skills, civic identity of Kazakh journalists.
