At the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, at the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on "Source Studies and Archival Studies: New Paradigms of Research" dedicated to the 70th anniversary and memory of the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor K. Atabaev. The conference was organized by the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, the Department of Archival Affairs and Documentation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is devoted to the discussion of the key problems of the source study of the history of Kazakhstan. The program of the Conference included the holding of a plenary session and the work of two sections focused on tasks: 1. Prospects for the development of source study and archaeography; 2. The role of archives in the information society.
