Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with a company from France, Electritis de France (EDF), launches a smart campus project. This became known during a meeting of the rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov with the director of the European Institute for Energy Research EDF Pascal Terrien.

From September 17 to 21, the al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the QS World Wide Forum on the theme «Journey to Global Prominence: Harmony of Human Heritage and Advanced Technology». This forum is a unique and it is the world’s largest platform for the exchange and dissemination of best practices in the field of science and higher education. As part of this forum, scientists from Universiti Technologi PETRONAS of (Malaysia), headed by Professor Hanita Daud, visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, exchanged information in the field of in the field of mechanics, mathematics and information technology.
The team of the Department of Mechanics participated in the Silk Road Robotics Competition in Xi'an, China9/20/2019
The KazNU team participated in the 2019 Silk Road Robotics Innovation Competition (SRRIC) of Xi'an, China and was awarded the Competition Diploma.
For this competition, the team of KazNU, under the leadership of Professor J. Baigunchchekova, presented the project "Robot Humanoid Ai-Gerim".
