Analysis of educational programs

Al-Farabi KazNU pays special attention to the creating the branches of departments at industrial organizations and research institutes of the studied specialties in order to closely cooperation with employers. The main purpose of the branch is to involve the experienced specialists to give lectures as part of preparing demanded in the labor market specialists, to improve the skills of students, with creating cooperative industrial and scientific practical training programs. In the 2019-2020 academic year, a branch of the Turksoy Department for the specialty "Turkology"  of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Oriental studies faculty was opened in the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov. Due to the state of emergency in the country, the official opening ceremony of the branch will be held in the upcoming time.

With the participation of the Turksoy Department of the Al-Farabi KazNU (www.kaznu.kz) Oriental studies faculty "Turkology" specialty educational program coordinator M. Egamberdiev, coordinators E. Kuanyshbaev, U. Alzhanbaeva, G. Kortabaeva, director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov (www.tbi.kz) E. Kajybek, associate director S. K. Kulmanov, specialists of the Institute of Literature and Art named after M. O. Auezov (www.auezovinstitute.kz) and a leading specialist T. Kydyr, a conference was held on April 11, 2020 where participants shared their opinions on issues related to the master's and doctoral programs of the specialty "Turkology" for the 2020-2021 academic year. Specialists paid particular attention to the preparing of undergraduates and doctoral students, the expected result of their studies, skills in preparing future scientists-turkologists, and also analyzed the internal content of the discipline and the direction of learning results. In the end of the conference, which was held online, changes were made to the titles and content of a number of academic disciplines. In addition, the Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov E. Kazhybek noted the necessity for cooperative activities to activate the branch work, the foreign scientists involvement to long-term lectures to prepare qualified specialists who study ancient and middle Turkic written monuments.
