This year, the whole world celebrates the 1150th anniversary of the outstanding thinker al-Farabi under the auspices of the UNESCO. In this regard, students and faculty of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University are launching the challenge “Qayirimdi qogam” (Virtuous society).
On February 29, 2020, within the framework of the challenge “Qayirimdi qogam” (Virtuous society), organized at the University level, the teaching staff of the Department of TURKSOY, Faculty of Oriental Studies al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited Tuyak Kaskenkyzy Esenkozhina named as "Mother of many children of Kazakhstan, the mother of 1000 children", who lives in Talgar, and also visited her private charity house "Nur".
Tuyak Kaskenkyzy raised, sheltered and trained more than a thousand orphans in a charity house that opened in 1998. She told about her biography and the situation of children in the orphanage, told that such a noble cause is being realized with the help of caring people. Mother Tuyak together with her husband Anuar helped children who did not see parental care by opening their kind arms; they became parents and teachers for them, giving them a warm home, helped children find their place in life.
As a team of the Department of TURKSOY, we also want to express our deep gratitude to the mother with a wide heart Tuyak and her husband, grandfather Anuar, who helped the young generation raised in the Nur charity house by providing them with our financial support and assistance.
