The spiritual harmony of Abay and Navoi
The Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University spent the evening called “Spiritual Harmony of Abay and Navoi”, which was organized in collaboration with the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the project “Ainalady Nurlandyr”.
The purpose of the event was, as our president K.J. Tokayev and Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev said, to introduce the creativity of Abay and Navoi to the minds of young people, as well as to promote the spiritual culture of the country in a global format on the eve of the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayuly and "the year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan. ”
During the event, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a book exhibition dedicated to the works of Abay and Navoi.
The Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Almaty Fathullaev Abror Jahangirovich told about the friendship and fraternal relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Then he was talking about the works of Alisher Navoi.
Also, the Scientific Secretary of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bolat Zhunisbekovich Zhunisbekov and the director of the Turan-Iranian Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the famous orientalist Islam Zhemeny, made a presentation about the personal qualities and works of Abay Kunanbaev.
At the end of the evening, 3-4 year students of the Turksoy department read the verses of Abay and Navoi, then there was a song “Кozimnin Кarasy”, as well as the Uzbek dances danced by the group from the Uzbek Ethno-Cultural Center in Almaty.
Teachers of the department of Turksoy were directly involved in organization of such a spiritual event.
