Intellectual game "I am Polyglot!"
On September 13, 2019, at 12.00 at 546 classroom in the framework of the annual "Language Day" at the department of Turksoy there was held the intellectual game "I am Polyglot!" by the teachers of Turksoy Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The aim of our game was to test students' knowledge of Kazakh, Russian and English languages, as well as get acquainted closer with each other.
The game consists of 3 parts. Each section examines the willingness of participants in three languages, the ability to quickly receive information and group work skills.
Part 1: Running a game to determine vocabulary. In this section, students must guess the words and speak it in 3 languages.
Part 2: In honor of the celebration of “2019 - the year of Abai,” students in each group should read the poem or words of Abay Kunanbayev in 3 languages.
Part 3: Proverbs, phraseological units and metaphors in three languages. Students must complete a preliminary assignment with the group.
As a result of the game the students were awarded 1,2,3 places.
At the end of the meeting the Deputy Head of the Department of Turksoy Montanay E. thanked the teachers Kairanbayeva N., Balakhodzhaeva A. For organization this incredible event and hoped that students would take part in such events in the future.
