The opening ceremony of "Department and scientific-educational and cultural center of TURKSOY" organized by Al-Farabi University in cooperation with the international organization TURKSOY.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan in the framework of the program "Almaty - Capital of Islamic Culture - 2015" March 4, 2015, at 15.00, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi University hosted the opening ceremony "Departments and Scientific-educational and cultural center of TURKSOY ".
The event was attended by Secretary General of the International Organization TURKSOY Duysen Kaseinov, employees of embassies and consulates of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Turkic-speaking ethnic and cultural associations of Almaty with the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, intellectuals and students.
The purpose of the event - to explore the rich spiritual heritage of Turkic peoples, to contribute to the coordination of international relations between independent Turkic states, to give impetus to the development of friendly relations between related Turkic peoples of Kazakhstan.
Opening of a new Chair and centers in Al-Farabi University is one of the most important steps to identify, enrich, broaden and deepen common values related Turkic peoples and the development of cultural ties between the peoples; raising cultural, humanitarian, scientific and technical integration between the countries of the Turkic world to a new and dynamic level.
