Literary and musical event ''Prosper, my country! ''
On October 20, 2022 was held a literary and musical event ''Prosper, my country!'' in honor of Republic Day in Turksoy Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al Farabi Kazakh National University. The event which organized by the advisor, Ph.D Issahanova Meirim with the talented first year students of the Educational Programmes of Oriental Studies and Foreign Philology was attended by the teaching staff and students of the Turksoy Department.
Zhanataeva Gulzhan, Deputy Head of Turksoy Department for academic and training affairs made a opening speech and told briefly about the significance of the Republic Day. The lecturers of Turksoy Department PhD, associate professor Kurmanali Altynshash, foreign guest lecturer, PhD Koşumcu Selenay, MA, senior lecturer Abeldaev Zhenisbek, who made speeches at the event, congratulated the teaching staff and the students on the national holiday and expressed their sincere wishes.
The speakers of the literary and musical event Salimbay Asel and Akbarzhanova Zubaydam told the audience about the history of the Republic Day. Azimova Rakhilyam made a presentation on "A brief history of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and Malikova Medina organized a quiz "Who is an expert?".
Talented students of the Department sang heartfelt patriotic songs and read touching poems. Asan Akerke recited the poem "Biz Qazaq kіm edіk?", which she composed herself and a beautiful song "Astana" was sung by Kartanbay Nurai. Abilmajin Begimay recited S. Toraigyrov's poem "I’m Kazakh, I’m proud of being Kazakh", and Mukagali Makataev's poem "Homeland" was recited by Serkazy Yerzhanat. The guest of the event Salimbay Dastan, the student of the School Number 142, performed the kuys "Balbyrauyn" and"Adai". At the end of the event all the students performed the Flashmob dance.
The literary and musical event which was dedicated to the "Republic Day" was informative and educational.
