The Department of Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with the University of Saudi Arabia Al-Jouf (Al-Jouf University, Saudi Arabia) held the next international seminar on the topic: "Learning Arabic using modern technologies for foreigners."

Teachers of the Division of Indology, Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a video conference with students on the theme "Spring Holidays of Kazakhstan and India" to strengthen the work on reviving the traditions of the Kazakh people in history, literature, local history, geography, dedicated to events aimed at increasing the love and patriotism of students.

From April 6 to 9, 2020, the international scientific conference of students and young scientists “Farabi Alemi” was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in remote format. March 26-27, 2020, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU named after Al-Farabi, the Republican Student Olympiad was held with a specialization in 5B020900 Oriental Studies. The goal of the Olympiad is to increase the language proficiency of students studying in the specialty “Oriental Studies”, develop creative abilities, increase their interest and activity in studies, select and support gifted students, and strengthen ties between universities.In accordance with the resolution of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 16-5 / 391 of 03/04/2020, the Olympiad was held online.
