The International scientific-practical conference "Modern manipulative practices in social networks on the formation of protest moods"
was successfully held.
On November 8-9, 2018, the International Scientific and Practical Conference called “Modern manipulative practices in social networks on the formation of protest moods” was organized by the Altai State University and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The main objectives of the conference were - the development of the scientific and creative potential of society, the formation of a single scientific information space; finding solutions to current problems of modern public communication; the establishment of international contacts for the implementation of the priority tasks of the development of scientific knowledge, the expansion of the academic mobility of students and teachers; exchange of scientific results and research experience.
At the conference, work was carried out in the following areas:
• Mass communication in the information society: problems and social challenges;
• Social networks of the Internet as a space for the formation of a civil society: freedom of expression and manipulative influences;
• Attractiveness of protest sentiment for young people and its use in manipulative purposes;
• Protests are socio-constructive and socio-destructive;
• Technological, language and organizational methods of manipulative influence on users of social networks;
• Methods for identifying manipulative practices in social networks on the Internet, methods of countering manipulative practices in shaping socially destructive attitudes.
