From March 14 to March 18, the “Week of Korean Studies” will be held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, at the Department of the Far East.

On Monday, March 14, in honor of the opening of the “Week of Korean Studies”, a quiz “Ме and Korea” was held among students of 1-2 courses. Students of 1-2 courses were divided into 4 groups “Daegu”, “Bom”, “Yorim” and “Sagua” by lot and competed with each other. In total, the competition consisted of three stages. At the first stage, students answered questions about popular Korean series and films, and at the second stage they completed tasks related to Korean culture and history. In the final, third stage, questions were answered related to K-PОР artists and songs that received a strong response from the youth of the world. As a result, the victory was won by the Yorim team, which scored 104 points. All students who took part in the competition and took part in the organization were presented with gifts.
