In the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 3, 2021 at al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the Faculty of chemistry and chemical technology in hybrid format offline/online the International Symposium «Science, Education, Innovation: World Trends and Regional Aspects» the grand opening took place, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Edil Ergozhaevich Yergozhin, an outstanding Kazakh scientist, organizer of science and higher education, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the RK, laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in science and technology, Honored Scientist of the Kazakh SSR, Honored Inventor of the RK.

The SANTO company sponsored the traditional event "White coat ceremony" and presented three personal scholarships to the best students of the Department of Fundamental Medicine of the Higher School of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of KazNU named after Al-Farabi for research work.

On 18 November 2021, within the XI Beremzhanov Congress on Chemistry and Chemical Technology, at the initiative of the Laboratory of Electroсhemical Production Technologies of the Center of Physicochemical Methods of Research and Analysis and the Department of Analytical, Colloidal Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements, the International Olympiad in Electrochemical Materials Science was held for the first time.

“Cultivate the environment” is the event between students that took place at 22^nd October 2021. The event was created according to the “Zhasyl el” programm, which is made by associate professor of the department of physical chemistry, catalysis and pertochemistry Iskakova R. A. and Narsenova S. M., senior lecturer Batyrbayeva A. A. and 4^th year students majoring in “Chemical education”.

The Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology invites everyone to lectures by Professor Thierry Djenizian, Director of the Department of Flexible Electronics of the National Mining University of Saint-Etienne (École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Étienne). The visit is carried out within the framework of the academic mobility program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to attract foreign professors to teaching activities in the period from November 4 to December 3, 2021.

13 мая 2021 г. Ассоциация выпускников КазНУ заключила Договор с потенциальным спонсором на строительство стелы с часами, приуроченной к 30-летию Независимости Республики Казахстан.

В тот же день, на расчетный счет Ассоциации поступили щедрые спонсорские средства. Спонсор – Зелина Ганиевна Катранова, известный в республике меценат, кандидат технических наук,   учредитель и Генеральный директор ТОО «Восточное рудоуправление», выпускница химического факультета 1981 года и его аспирантуры.

Ее личный вклад – 1 000 000 тенге и 100 000 тенге на премию лучшему студенту факультета химии и химической технологии 2021 года.

On the first spring sunny day, the 70th anniversary of the two-time winner of the republican competition "The best teacher of the university", teacher, professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Ospanova Aliya Kapanovna was celebrated.
