The 2nd-year PhD student of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Bulybaev Marat is undergoing an internship in the laboratory of the foreign scientific supervisor Professor Andrey Vavasori at the University of Ca-Foscari, Venice, Italy. The domestic head is associate professor Zhaksylykova G. Zh .
A meeting was held between students, masters and doctoral students of the Department and employees of the "Center of Competences on Corrosion Problems" at the Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry named after D.V. Sokolsky joint-stock company. At the meeting the deputy head of the Center Kenzin N. R. and Burumbaeva G. R., head of department, gave extensive information about the main activities of the center, emphasized that in solving the problems of corrosion in domestic refineries is not enough qualified engineers-technologists, who set specific goals, involve young professionals in close work with production, improve their professional skills and the role of the center to improve. At the end of the meeting several young applicants received invitations to work based on the results of the interview.
Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry together with the Institute of Professional Development at Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi in order to upgrade the skills of employees of institutions working in the gas industry of the country, held a theoretical and practical course of professional development on "Definition of process parameters and analysis of quality of combustible natural gases delivered and transported according to ST RK 1666-2007. The professional development course was attended by 19 participants, who complemented the theoretical knowledge, performed laboratory works at practical lessons, combined theoretical knowledge. During the course trainees had an extensive training with reference data, expert calculations with SS on Gases, chromatographic analyses. A 4th-year student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abdygali Bekarys tapsyradyalievich, submits documents for the competition of the Slovak Technical University under the Erasmus program.The documents were accepted from March 20 to April 30. According to the results of the Grant and the five-month Slovakia, he will become the owner of the Republican National Scholarship. He is currently studying at the Faculty of Chemistry and Food Technology at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, the capital of the Slovak State. Due to the current situation in the field of education, various methods of distance learning are widely used, proving their viability in everyday life. A special place is occupied by mass open online courses, where students achieve high academic performance when mastering a new topic with deepening knowledge in the learning process and during extracurricular time.
Among the diverse physical methods that are used in the study of compounds, quantitative and qualitative analysis in chemistry, the study of a substance with electromagnetic radiation is of great interest. Vibrational spectra are experimentally studied by methods of infrared (IR) spectroscopy and combined scattering (RS) spectroscopy of light. These spectra are covered by transitions between vibrational energy states.
Within the framework of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan to consolidate efforts and opportunities, as well as to develop collegial proposals for the development of chemical science, the education system and building effective interaction of the triad "University system - Research and development organizations - Production and industrial enterprises "in November 2021 at the NJSC al-Farabi KazNU jointly with SC MES RK, NAS RK, RPO " B.A. Beremzhanov Kazakhstan Chemical Society", LLP "Eureka Barit", JSC "Almaty Technological University" with the participation of 22 production companies, state universities of all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as top scientists from 6 foreign universities successfully held the XI International Beremzhanov Congress on Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
