Master students of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the 2nd year in the specialty "Oil and Gas Business" Azilkhanov N.D. underwent a scientific internship at the University of Lortoringi, Nancy, France.

The Student Science and Technology Conference "KazNRTU-2022" for undergraduate students was organized by the department "Higher Mathematics" of the Institute of Basic Education at KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpayev on April 9, 2022.
The conference was attended by teachers and students of Satbayev University and invited students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The organizer of the conference, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics, Sagindykov B.Zh., delivered a welcoming speech to the conference participants. In his speech, he noted that the number and geography of participants is growing every year.
The conference addressed issues in the following areas:
1) new methods to solve ordinary differential equations;
2) modeling of chemical-technological processes;
3) financial mathematics;
4) schooling and higher education.
All students who made presentations showed a high level of preparation.
Traditionally, students in collaboration with scientific supervisors took an active part in the work of the conference.
The organizing committee of the conference expresses its sincere gratitude to all the participants, especially to the faculty members of the Higher Mathematics Department of KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpaev and the Department of "Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

On April 20-22, 2022, the XIV Republican Subject Olympiad of students between higher educational institutions in the specialty "5B072000-Chemical technology of inorganic substances" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 14 students from 4 higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part. The Olympiad consisted of 2 rounds. The first round is the solution of a production technological problem from the real production of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The second round is the solution of complex problems covering the main topics of disciplines: general chemical technology; basic processes and devices in chemical technology; inorganic chemistry. The team «Almas», consisting of 3rd-year students in the specialty 5B072000-HTNV, Tleuberdinova Aruzhan Amangeldinovna, Kazibai Amina Armankyzy and Sovetova Diana Omirzhanovna, took the second place. Team member Kazibai Amina took the fist prize in the 2nd round in the individual competition. Undergraduates of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the 2nd year in the specialty "Petrochemistry" Almatkyzy Perizat were trained in the laboratory under the guidance of Professor Artok Levent at Izmir Technical University of Izmir, Turkey.

The VIII International Russian-Kazakh Scientific and Practical Conference "Chemical Technologies of Functional Materials" with participation of Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi and Novosibirsk State Technical University was held at a high level.
As we can see, every year more and more interest to this conference from not only scientific workers and young scientists from Russia and Kazakhstan, but also from far and near abroad countries, such as Israel, Iran, Italy, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, is increasing. In general, the conference received more than 100 abstracts of reports on research areas. I would like to note that this conference is a significant step in the development of chemical science, promotes the exchange of views between young and experienced scientists from different regions of the world, and supports the connection between science and practice.
The conference is undoubtedly an important event in the life of our university, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, which will contribute to improving the process of scientific research in the field of chemical technology of functional materials, will create an incentive for further fruitful work.
