On April 20-21, the Faculty hosted the Republican subject Olympiad among students in the Specialty" Chemical Technology of inorganic substances". The team "Almaz", consisting of 3rd year students (Kazibay A., Tleuberdinova A., Sovetova D.), led by the Senior Teacher of the Department Batyrbayeva Aigul Abshukirkyzy, took the second place, and in the individual competition Kazibay Amina took the first place.

In the Republican subject Olympiad of students in the specialty" 5B072100 - Chemical Technology of organic substances "under the guidance of acting associate professor of the Department Tostai Kainaubek, among 9 teams" NJA Chemist", which included 3rd year students Manasova Aiken, Musa Nur-Sultan Molzhanovich, Tusupbek Zhadyra, took the first place, and in individual competition Manasova Aiken took the first place.
1st and 2nd year undergraduates of the Department of "Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry" of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies of KazNU.Al-Farabi, majoring in 7M07202 - OIL and GAS BUSINESS, namely Abdulhamidov Kanat Mukhanuly, Kazibaev Abulaykhan Tanat ugli, Azilkhanov Nursultan Donesuly, and Shynkenov Aysultan Zhenesbekuly, after organized training at the Geoenergetics Center of Al-Farabi KazNU, won educational grants under the Erasmus program to study at the University of Lorraine, Nancy. France, for the spring semester of 2021-2022.
As part of the program of pedagogical practice for PhD students of the first year of the specialty "Petrochemistry" of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, "Open Doors Day of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU. al-Farabi" a career guidance event was held online using Zoom for students of the 11th grade of Lyceum No. 92 named after M. Gandhi on 03/04/2022. The speakers were PhD students of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Abdrasilova A., Asylbekov E., Popov N., Shoganbek D. and Zhylkybek M. The event was attended by the director of the lyceum Shazhabayeva K.S., Ph.D senior lecturer Supieva Zh. A., head of pedagogical practice, associate professor Tashmukhambetova Zh.Kh., students and teachers of the lyceum. The event was held through the use of an informative presentation with educational and interactive elements. Of particular interest to schoolchildren was an excursion into the history of the development of chemistry as a science, with the transition to existing methods of chemical production, issues related to the role of chemistry and petrochemistry in everyday life were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the place of petrochemistry in industrialization, the need for the development of the oil industry and the demand for chemists and petrochemists. The audience was offered information about the University and the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, their achievements in the world university rankings, about the educational programs implemented by the Faculty, about the opportunities provided by the university, such as double-degree programs in foreign partner universities, internships in numerous research institutes and other benefits of studying at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU named after al-Farabi.
Оn the ZOOM platform by undergraduates of the 1st year of study in the specialty "Petrochemistry" and "Oil and Gas Business" of the Kazakh National University. al-Farabi, an online conference on career guidance was held with students of the specialized lyceum № 92 M. Gandhi. The event was attended by students of grades 10-11 with a bias "chemistry and biology", director of the lyceum Shazhabaeva K.S., deputy director Altaeva A.M., Ph.D. J.Kh. and 8 undergraduates with English, Kazakh and Russian languages of instruction. The conference was aimed at attracting future applicants for admission to the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of KazNU. al-Farabi. A detailed conversation took place on various aspects of the life and activities of the named university and faculty. Of great interest were the issues of academic mobility, further employment and career growth of university graduates, the cultural life of students, the annual number of students entering the faculty, examples of the most famous and successful graduates of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, and many other career guidance issues. The event aroused great interest among the audience and it was proposed to continue this work in the near future.

Associate Professor Narenova S.M., Associate Professor Iskakova R.A. and senior lecturer Bakirova B.S. of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of Chemistry and Chemical Technology Faculty organized the event "Chemistry is life, and life is Chemistry". The purpose of the event was the professional orientation of students. The event was attended by students of the educational programs "5B011200-Chemistry", "6B05301-Chemistry" and "7M05301-Chemistry". Second-year undergraduates prepared presentations on their research papers and introduced students to their results. The deputy head of the Department of scientific and innovative work and international relations, PhD Bakirova B.S. acquainted students with the directions and prospects of scientific student research and the features of admission and training in the master's degree. The event was held online and the students had an opportunity to get answers to their questions.
Руководство кафедры физической химии, катализа и нефтехимии встретилось с коллективом ТОО «Oilsert International/Ойлсерт Интернешнл». Встреча прошла на содержательном, взвешенном, партнерском уровне с целью организации и проведения учебной и производственной практик студентов, формирования системы дуального образования.

В завершение встречи было достигнуто заключение двустороннего меморандума в качестве базы практики в сочетании теоретических знаний, полученных студентами в области нефтегазопереработки.
