One of the important things is the direction of school graduates to the right choice of future profession. In this direction, on February 9, 2023, the teaching staff of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies held a meeting with students of grades 10-11 in order to conduct career guidance work in the Municipal State Institution "secondary school No. 181". The meeting was also attended by the teaching staff of the department, the school administration and teachers. The director of the school Satayeva Zheniskul Imangalievna introduced the students to the teaching staff of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The guests especially noted that not just teachers, but the authors of the book in which they study. The head of the department, Ph.D., Professor Myrzabekova Ryskeldy Salamatovna acquainted high school students with information about educational programs and gave instructions on what profession they will be engaged in in the future. In his speech , D. I. Professor Tulebaev Turganzhan Abeuovich dwelt on the features of the specialties " history " and" archival science " and noted that this specialty is promising, has a wide range of specialties, can work in many industries, institutions. Ph.D., Associate Professor Alpysbaeva Nurzipa Kuleshbaevna raised questions about the features of the educational program at the department, about the curriculum. One of the qualified teachers of the department K. I. Associate Professor Kunapina Kayerken Kudaibergenovna noted that students studying at the department currently hold high positions, the proposed educational programs do not lose their importance in the future. During the meeting, the issues of choosing a future profession for schoolchildren, questions on these educational programs were discussed. During the event, students asked questions of interest to them and received appropriate answers.
