On November 24, 2022, the Academic Council of the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi KazNU adopted a new emblem (Protocol №4). It has a rounded shape, consists of graphic and symbolic elements with combinations of golden and burgundy hues, calling for determination, fearlessness, optimism and purposefulness. On the outer circumference, on the top, there is an inscription in white: “ҚАЗҰУ” (KAZNU), and below “ТАРИХ ФАКУЛЬТЕТІ” (FACULTY OF HISTORY).
​The central plot of the emblem of the Faculty of History is an application made of thick sheet gold of the Saka time, found as a result of excavations in the Eleke sazy valley by the expedition of Professor A.T. Toleubayev. A figure of a syncretic nature: the horns of a deer and a mountain goat, the muzzle of a griffin, the chest, neck and front legs - of an ungulate animal, part of the body, tail and hind legs - of a leopard (panther), wings grow from the front of the back. The decoration dates back to the V-ІV centuries BC. Five-pointed golden stars decorating the upper parts of the emblem were found in the decoration of the Early Saka Shilikta golden man.
On the left page of the open book, located below the central plot, the year of the establishment of the institution is indicated, on the right - a drawing of a hero on a horse, indicating the heroic past of our history.
