On January 13, 2022, the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies within the framework of the winter scientific school discussed the report of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Gulmira Sultangalieva Salimzhanovna on the topic "Peculiarities of understanding the concepts of "colonization" and "decolonization" in modern historical science". The discussion was attended by the teaching staff and doctoral students of the department, suggestions were made on modern directions of understanding the problem of decolonization, as well as on topical issues of historical science and modern ways of development of historical science.

H. Taylor, a 4th-year student of the History Department of the University of Wisconsin, who is undergoing an internship at the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, spoke about the features of historical education in the United States.
