16th biennial conference of the European society for Central Asian Studies (ESCAS)

    Members of the Department of World history, historiography and source studies of the Faculty of History, Archaeology and Ethnology of al-Farabi Kazakh national University participated in the 16th biennial conference of the European society for Central Asian Studies (ESCAS), which was organized at the University of Exeter, Exeter, UK, on 27-29 June 2019. The conference with the general theme “The Globality of Central Asia” was attended by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor G.S. Sultangaliyeva, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor K.T. Zhumagulov and senior lecturer M.E. Abdrakhim. The event was attended by more than 200 researchers across the world: 62 panels, 8 round tables and discussions of 2 books were organized. Also in this conference, which takes place every two years, all participants presented their research papers, discussed topical issues on the history, culture, socio-economic and political life of Central Asia.
