This meeting was organized by the Nur Otan People's Democratic Party of the city of Shymkent, the Community of Afghan War veterans of SKR and Professor of KazNU named after Al-Farabi of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, veteran of the Afghan War Bolat Saylan.

During the event, the author of the book «The Truth of the Afghan War» B. Saylan presented a report, and also talked about the contribution of veterans of this war to our peaceful life. The guests of the event were Ashirbek Turdalin from the city branch of the Nur Otan People’s Democratic Party (Shymkent city), Bolat Saylan (Almaty city), the vice-president of the Community of Afghan War veterans of SKR Kairat Kalmyrzaev (Shymkent city), and many other veterans of the Afghan war.
