On March 13, 2018, a round table was held on the theme "The Mongolian Empire and the history of Central Asia" organized by the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology and the Department of History of Kazakhstan with Timothy Michael May, who is a professor at the University of Northern Georgia, Dean of the College of Arts and Literature, Ph.D. Professor Timothy May is a specialist in the history of the Mongolian Empire and the history of the nomadic empire. He is the author of several books, as well as the author of various publications and scientific papers. The research direction of Timothy May is the history of the Mongolian Empire, the Crusades, medieval wars, Central Asia, Islam.

The round table was attended by тhe dean of the faculty Associate Professor Nogaybaeva Mendigul Sagatovna, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Karibaev Bereket Bakhytzhanovich and students. After the introductory speech of Nogaybaeva Mendigul Sagatovna, Timothy May read his lecture on the theme "The Mongolian Empire and the history of Central Asia"

Thus, holding such round tables contributes to increasing the enthusiasm and interest in science among young scientists, as well as the development and strengthening of multifaceted relations between countries.
